Multiporpoise Management, LLC is the connective tissue that links five Pacific Northwest-based vacation rental companies that manage six distinct communities. Our niche is nightly rentals in facilities formerly run as “condotels.” We offer HOA management to these communities as well. We attract hotel travelers as much as people looking for a personalized Airbnb experience. Because we operate in numerous spaces, we also belong to trade organizations for hotel management and homeowners associations.
Our six distinct brands include Sea Gypsy Rentals, D Sands Rentals, and Surftides Plaza Rentals in Lincoln City, Oregon, as well as Bend Riverside Rentals and Pioneer Park Rentals in Bend, Oregon. In 2026, we formed Polynesian Rentals to manage the Polynesian Resort in Ocean Shores, Washington. Each company takes its namesake from the community it manages. Sea Gypsy Rentals, for example, manages the Sea Gypsy Condominiums, with its own website and marketing angle. Multiporpoise Management is a staffing company that links all six operations, including Multiporpoise Community Management, our HOA services entity. Our 70-plus employees can transfer between locations, and our executives oversee all operations simultaneously. We collectively have 290 condos in our inventory, and growing.
Our origin story might sound familiar to anyone who got into this industry by accident. Our owner and founder started Airbnb’ing his parents’ single condo at the Sea Gypsy as a side hustle for beer money in 2010. This HOA-run condotel had recently ceased operations, laying off its entire staff and permanently shuttering the lobby. In the coming years, most of the Sea Gypsy owners put their condos under our founder’s management, and the brand was brought back from the dead. The revival worked so well that we went on to form Multiporpoise Management and replicate the process five more times. Numerous 1970s-era condotels remain nationwide, struggling to find their way. And we’re here to help.

In addition, as the Secretary on the HOA Board at both properties, Troy plays an active role in keeping these communities running smoothly. His dual perspective—as both an owner and a manager—means he approaches every decision with long-term value in mind.

Nicole Chancellor is our HOA Community Manager, bringing extensive experience in association operations, board relations, and financial management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Cal Poly Humboldt and is a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). Nicole’s background includes 15 years in nonprofit management, six years in credit union operations, and three years in community association management, with expertise in supporting HOA boards, overseeing facilities, managing association finances, and ensuring communities operate efficiently.
